Tired of dim TVs, crackling speakers, dead Wi-Fi spots, or lighting that no longer keeps up? We replace and upgrade the AV, networking, and lighting in your Martha's Vineyard home — keeping what still works, and bringing the rest into 2026.
If any of these sound familiar, we can almost always make it better — often without ripping out everything you already own.
Colours look washed out, the picture flickers, the remote barely works, or the screen no longer suits the room. 4K, OLED, and laser projection have come a long way — your TV should keep up.
Hum, distortion, dropouts, dead rooms, or in-ceiling speakers that have rusted from years of salt air. We replace damaged drivers and bring whole-home audio back to life.
Beautiful kit gathering dust because nothing talks to anything else. We rationalise legacy stereo, integrate streaming, and get your favourite gear working as part of the wider system.
Buffering on the deck, dead zones in the guest wing, video calls cutting out. Most homes on the island are running on consumer gear they outgrew years ago.
Halogen bulbs you can't replace, dimmers that hum, a wall of switches no one understands. Modern LED, Lutron, and tunable-white lighting transform how a room feels.
One app for the TV, another for music, a third for shades. Half of them don't work off-island. We consolidate everything into one clean interface.
Book a home AV audit. We walk every room, test what's installed, identify what's failing or outdated, and put together a phased upgrade plan that respects your budget.
Book Your AuditIf your TV is more than five or six years old, you're missing out on a noticeable jump in picture quality — and most homeowners are surprised by how much better a modern display looks the second it goes on the wall. We replace ageing LCDs, dim plasmas, and projectors well past their lamp life with current Sony OLED, mini-LED, and 4K laser projection systems sized properly for the room.
Salt air, time, and a string of well-meaning previous installers can leave a great audio system sounding tired. We refresh in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, replace failed amps and receivers, retire dead-end legacy multi-room systems, and bring everything back to the standard the gear was capable of when it was new — usually for far less than starting from scratch.
Most clients don't replace everything in one go. We design upgrade plans in stages so you can prioritise the rooms and systems that matter most — and budget the rest over time.
Plan a Phased UpgradeAlmost every "the TV won't stream" or "the speakers cut out" issue we get called for traces back to a network that hasn't kept up with the home. Old single-router setups can't reach the deck, the guest house, or even the far bedrooms — and as TVs, cameras, and automation pile on, things only get worse. We rebuild networks around enterprise-grade UniFi hardware that's purpose-built for homes like yours.
Lighting is the single biggest upgrade most homeowners underestimate. Swapping out humming dimmers, mismatched bulbs, and a wall of confusing switches for a modern Lutron control system instantly changes how every room feels — and lets the lights work intelligently with your TVs, shades, and routines. We work with what's there where we can, and re-do it where it needs to be re-done.
A simple, low-pressure process built around respecting what's already there.
We walk every room, test what's installed, document model numbers and ages, and listen to what's annoying you most about the current setup.
You get a written, phased proposal — what to replace now, what to keep, what to revisit later — with clear pricing and no hidden labour.
Our local team installs, replaces, and re-cables. We clean up old wiring, remove dead equipment, and leave the rooms cleaner than we found them.
We calibrate the audio, tune the picture, program scenes and remotes, and walk you through every change before we leave.

Almost never. The first thing we do during an audit is identify what's still good — speakers in great condition, a recent TV that just needs better sources, lighting that only needs a new control layer. We replace what's failing or outdated and keep what's worth keeping. Most upgrades are a mix of new equipment, refreshed cabling, and smarter control on top of the gear you already own.
It varies enormously depending on the size of the home and what you want to tackle. A focused upgrade — say, replacing two TVs and the main living-room audio — can be a few thousand dollars. A whole-home refresh covering TVs, speakers, network, and lighting will be considerably more. After the home AV audit you'll get a clear, written proposal with line-item pricing, and you can choose what to do now and what to phase later. We never push you into more than you need.
Yes. A surprising number of clients come to us for one specific pain point — usually Wi-Fi, lighting, or a failing TV — and decide later whether to expand the project. Each system stands on its own, and our networking, audio, and lighting services are designed to be installed independently or together.
Absolutely. A large share of our upgrade work is on homes originally installed by someone else — sometimes a mainland integrator, sometimes a previous local team. We're comfortable inheriting other people's wiring, racks, and control systems, and we'll tell you honestly what's worth keeping versus what's better off retired.
A single-room upgrade is usually one day on-site. A whole-home network refresh is typically two to four days depending on size. A full multi-system project — TVs, audio, network, and lighting across a larger home — can run over several visits spread over a few weeks so we don't disrupt your life. We always agree the schedule with you up front and stick to it.
We remove it, dispose of it responsibly, or redeploy it elsewhere in the home if it still has useful life — for example, moving a perfectly good 4K TV from the living room to a guest bedroom when the living room is being upgraded. You don't end up with boxes of old gear in the garage unless you specifically want to keep something.

MVcare is the difference between an upgrade that stays great and one that slowly drifts back into "why does this keep breaking?".
The dim TV, the buzzing speaker, the dead Wi-Fi corner, the switch no one understands — every upgrade starts with a conversation. Drop us a note about what's frustrating you, and we'll come take a look.
