The first thing we do during an audit is identify what's still good — speakers in great condition, a recent TV that just needs better sources, lighting that only needs a new control layer. We replace what's failing or outdated and keep what's worth keeping. Most upgrades are a mix of new equipment, refreshed cabling, and smarter control on top of the gear you already own.
It varies enormously depending on the size of the home and what you want to tackle. A focused upgrade — say, replacing two TVs and the main living-room audio — can be a few thousand dollars. A whole-home refresh covering TVs, speakers, network, and lighting will be considerably more. After the home AV audit you'll get a clear, written proposal with line-item pricing, and you can choose what to do now and what to phase later. We never push you into more than you need.
Yes. A surprising number of clients come to us for one specific pain point — usually Wi-Fi, lighting, or a failing TV — and decide later whether to expand the project. Each system stands on its own, and our networking, audio, and lighting services are designed to be installed independently or together.
Absolutely. A large share of our upgrade work is on homes originally installed by someone else — sometimes a mainland integrator, sometimes a previous local team. We're comfortable inheriting other people's wiring, racks, and control systems, and we'll tell you honestly what's worth keeping versus what's better off retired.
A single-room upgrade is usually one day on-site. A whole-home network refresh is typically two to four days depending on size. A full multi-system project — TVs, audio, network, and lighting across a larger home — can run over several visits spread over a few weeks so we don't disrupt your life. We always agree the schedule with you up front and stick to it.
We remove it, dispose of it responsibly, or redeploy it elsewhere in the home if it still has useful life — for example, moving a perfectly good 4K TV from the living room to a guest bedroom when the living room is being upgraded. You don't end up with boxes of old gear in the garage unless you specifically want to keep something.
